The 2000 Stephen Frears Chicago-set dramedy High Fidelity is full of Top 5 lists that John Cusack’s Rob and his coworkers concoct throughout the movie. Here are the five best.

5. Top 5 Musical Crimes Perpetrated by Stevie Wonder in the ‘80s and ‘90s

Though Jack Black’s Barry didn’t get around to actually filling out this list, the tongue-in-cheek specificity of the theme makes it worthy of inclusion.

4. Top 5 Songs About Death, A Laura’s Dad Tribute List

Another Barry special, this Top 5 spun up after hearing that Laura’s dad had died is a touching example of the power of list-making as homage and coping mechanism.

3. Top 5 Films

You know we’re here for a movie list, though Rob’s picks of Blade Runner, Cool Hand Luke, the first two Godfather films counted as one, Taxi Driver, and The Shining are just about the most film bro-y he could have made.

2. Top 5 Things I Miss About Laura

Lists are useful for more than just art. They can help us gain perspective and gratitude, as this list does for Rob even as he struggles to manage his feelings about his ex.

1. Desert Island, All-Time Top 5 Most Memorable Breakups

Rob’s first and most essential list, which sets the structure for the movie and provides us with illuminating vignettes about his character.
